LOHNES, Elizabeth D. - 62, of East Berlin, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, NS on Sunday, March 13th, 2011 with her family by her side. Born in Caledonia, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Jean (Hartlen) Irving. Liz was a former CNA working in Queens General Hospital, QEII, Halifax and Hillsview Acres, Middlefield. She loved animals and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmom. She is survived by her daughter Nicole (Paul) Chambers of Toronto, Chris (Melissa) of Oromocto, NB and Ian of Sussex, NB. Grandchildren: Blake and Ella Chambers; Sydney, Samuel and Gage Lohnes and Olivia Lohnes; her brother Peter (Rose) Irving of Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband Harold. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a funeral service was held Wednesday, March 16th, 2011. Reverend Judy Cross officiated. A private family burial will take place in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, West Berlin. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Queens Branch of the S.P.C.A..
