Lorraine Buller
Buller, Lorraine Dorothy Buller (Schaitel) of Hodgeville/Neidpath, Saskatchewan, born July 2, 1929 at home at the Schaitel farm near Neidpath, passed away in Herbert/Morse Integrated Health Care Facility March 14, 2011, with her family at her side. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. March 19, 2011 in Hodgeville, SK with John Duncan officiating. Eulogists were Tanis Haubrich and Cory Baldwin. The interment service will be held at a later date. The pallbearers were her grandchildren Tanis Haubrich, Jason Haubrich, Cory Baldwin, Shane Baldwin, Mackenzie Buller, and Mikayla Buller. Lorraine is survived by daughter Roxanne Baldwin (Tom Knapper), daughter Sheila Haubrich (Kevin), son Bruce Buller (Deanna Wilhelm), 6 grandchildren Cory, Shane, Tanis, Jason, Mackenzie, Mikayla. Extended family Natasha, Shane, Savannah, Colt; Curtis & Lindsay, Troy & Kiera, and Paige. One Aunt from BC, Tena Craddock and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Sidney - January 17, 2011, her parents, Raymond & Ottilie Schaitel, sisters & brothers-in-law Mary & Bert Ensz, Ruby & Walter Ensz, brothers & sisters-in-law Alfred & Cora Schaitel, Adolf & Lorraine Schaitel, Paul & Peg Schaitel, Harvey & Agnes Schaitel. Sid's parents, Henry & Anna Buller, brother-in-law Les Buller & sister-in-law Mae, sister-in-law Dorothy Lance & brother-in-law Tony. Lorraine received her education at the Ensz School near Neidpath. Lorraine found employment working with her sister-in-law Cora as a Post-Master in Neidpath. She ventured out a little further to Swift Current where she worked as a waitress. Lorraine then moved to Moose Jaw and stayed with her Uncle Gus and Aunt Marie. She found employment as a waitress at the National Café, then at the Robin Hood Mill, and lastly Johnstone Dairies. Lorraine married Sidney Buller on November 28, 1953 at Swift Current, Saskatchewan. They began their life together on the homestead farm and continued farming until 1999. Besides helping out on the farm, Lorraine raised three children, running them to various sporting events, trips to the Hodgeville Rink and Herbert Swimming Pool. She also found time for her activities such as playing ball, coaching softball, curling, fishing, socializing with neighbours and friends. Lorraine played an active role lobbying for the Hodgeville Swimming Pool. When she was blessed with grandchildren, she enjoyed following their events of hockey, skating, dancing, swimming, soccer, ball, track meets, volleyball and cards.
