Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, of Marguerite Alexandra Howatt (nee MacDonald) of Tryon in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard Howatt. Dear mother of Richard Lea (Ethel Egberg) Tryon, Gordon (Linda), Victoria, Heather (Albert) Hickox, Fredericton, P.E.I., Catherine (Jim) Howatt-Dickson, Summerside, and son-in-law, Garry Costain, Tryon. Loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Roddie (Shirley) MacDonald, brother-in-law, Everett (Betty) Howatt, and sister-in-law, Ann (George) Smith. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Mary MacDonald, daughter, Clara Costain, and brothers, John and Joe MacDonald. A memorial service will be held from South Shore United Church, Tryon, on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations to Team Diabetes would be greatly appreciated.
