Clarence Barrett Parsons

July 20, 1920 - February 26, 2011

The family of the late Clarence Parsons of Pasadena sends a sincere appreciation to all who helped alleviate our sorrow with the passing of a well loved husband and father.

We take comfort from the fact that Dad lived a long and happy life. His expressions of gratitude to his family and friends lightened the load of our loss.

Thank you for the cards, food, phone calls, emails, visits to the church and home, flowers and contributions to the Humber Valley United Church and other charities.

We profoundly thank the staff of the Long Term Care Facility - Veterans Affairs Complex, you treated Dad as a part of your family with undue love and care. Dad was content and happy because of the respect you bestowed upon him. Our gratitude to you knows no bounds.

We would also like to thank Dr. MacKenzie, Dr. Canete and Paula Perham R.N. (Heart Failure Clinic) for their extraordinary care and kindness to Dad. You went beyond the call of duty.

A special thank you to Rev. Andrew Wright, Rev. Dr. Tony Newell and the Royal Canadian Legion for the lovely service. Also thank you to Guy Romaine for the solo performance, organist Emily Wright, Amanda Parsons for her tribute to Pop, Diana Langford for reading Psalm 23 and Stephanie Parsons for the collage of pictures. Thank you to the ushers and pallbearers: Richard Parsons, Roy Parsons, Cordell Parsons, Clarence (Jr.) Parsons, Sol Lake and Ernest Bridger; and the Senior’s Club for their honour guard.

Thank you to the Humber Valley United Church Women for providing food and beverages at the visitations and after the funeral service.

We would also like to extend a thank you to Parsons Funeral Home (Dave and Brenda) for their genuine care, kindness and professionalism. You gave more support and help than could have been expected.

Dad’s legacy to us was the way he lived; always smiling, kind hearted, endearing to friends and having a thoughtful attitude. Thank you Dad.

Each thoughtful gesture was truly appreciated and will be remembered by:

His devoted wife Annie;
and children: Jean, Richard, Barbara,
Junior, Frances, Roy, Glenn, Cordell and Grace.
