Helen Amelia Madeline Verge (Hutchison) Faraci passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at her home in Nestleton, Ont. at age 44.
Helen Verge was an amazing woman and was truly loved by all who knew her. Born and raised in New Waterford with her grandparents Thomas and the late Helen (Jacobi) Hutchison who were father and mother to her.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and soul mate Joseph Faraci, Port Perry, Ont.; grandfather (father) Thomas (Viola) Hutchison, New Waterford; biological mother Nola (MacLeod) Verge, Glace Bay; her loving sisters, Kathy (Alain ) Goulet of Calgary, AB, Annette (Frank) Ross of Maragree, Donna Hutchison of Cape North; beloved brother, George (Karen) Verge of Glace Bay; loving nieces, Kathleen (Bruce) Cameron, Donna Marie (Lenard), Gail (Richard), Carly, Emily, Tonya, Stephanie, Alyssa, Mary Lee Ingraham (Brian Harris) of Maragree; loving nephews, Scott Ingraham, Bryce, Alessandro, Brandon, Adrian, Adam, and Andrew; grandfather, Rooney (Ruth) Brown of North Bay, Ont. Also surviving are aunts, Margi Hutchison, of New Victoria, Margi Rizzo, Barbara, Lorraine, Donna (Mike) Feit, of River Ryan, Debbi (Peter) Hogan, of Lingan Carrol (Jim) Richardson of California, Gail (Eddie) Crowder; very special uncle Mickey MacLeod of New Waterford; uncles Andy (Beverly) of Medicine Hat, AB, Gary (Norma), Barry (Rita), Kenneth (Pauline) Peter (Mary), Tim (Kim), Glenn (Lisa) all of North Bay, Ont., Fred (Maria) Rooney Jr. (Liz) of Niagra Falls, Ont., David (Shelly) of Toronto, Ont., Ross MacInnis, of Belleville, Ont., Kurt (Joyce) Larade of Glace Bay, Leo (Sylvia), Scott of Glace Bay; mother-in-law Vita Faraci; sisters-in-law, Lucy (Reno) Filippelli, Josie (Ernie) Deluca both of Bolton, Ont.; in-laws, Giovanni (Franca) Faraci, of Italy, Salvatore (Josephina) Faraci, Antonio (Anna) Faraci, both of Markham, Ont., Maria (Joe) Mavilla, Josephina (Guytano) Mavilla, both of Scarborough, Ont., along with true and dear friends, Dave Mac Isaac of New Waterford and Elizabeth MacIntosh, of New Waterford. and Helen’s best friend Heather Jones of Port Perry; two very special people Mimmo (Joanne) Mavilla, who brought Helen and Joseph together, last but not least her Poodle ‘Buttons’.
Helen was predeceased by her grandmother (mother) Helen (Jacobi) Hutchison; her biological father George Henri Verge; grandmother Odell Brown; Aunt Becky; father–in-law Leonardo Faraci and dear friend Cil MacIasaac.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the All Saints Anglican Church in New Waterford, on Friday July 24, 2009 at 3 p.m. with Reverend Fred Ryhmes officiating, also participating will be long time friend Reverend Joan Griffin. A luncheon will follow downstairs in the church hall immediately following the service and interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery Scotchtown Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McLellan Brothers Funeral Home (862-7500), 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford.
