Messner, Mona Marie Irene — 48, of Greenhill, Hants County, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Born Nov. 6, 1962 in Swan Lake, Manitoba, she was the beloved daughter of Antoine and Hermance (LeSage) Messner of Somerset, Manitoba. She is survived by husband, Greg; son, Shawn; sisters, Georgette Messner and Muriel Gervais; brothers, Antoine, Jerry and Brian; nieces, Tina, Stephanie, Jessica, Gayle, Corrina, Karen, Melanie, Angela, Jamie, Cynthia, Carlee and Holly; nephews, Curtis, Justin, Nicholas, Matthew, Cory, Edward, Cory and Evan. Mona was a devoted mother, an avid gardener and shopper, and loved her pets. Mona worked for many years as an administrative assistance at Atlantic Wholesalers, Lakeside. Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to Lohnes-DeMont Funeral Service Ltd., 419 Albert St., Windsor. There was no visitation by family request. Funeral service was held Friday, March 18 at 2 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, King St., Windsor. Rev. Father Ignatius Amponsah officiated.
