We are sad to announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Gabriel, who passed away with his family by his side at Royal Inland Hospital on March 17, 2011 at the age of 88.

His memory will be cherished by his daughter Monica of Kamloops, sons Denis of Clinton, B.C., Alex (Valerie) of Kamloops, Paul (Colleen) of Schreiber, ON, and Greg (Mary) of Kamloops; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and brother John Paul.

He was predeceased by his wife Connie in 2000.

Gabe was born in Quebec and lived in Schreiber, Ontario until 1973 when he took residence in Kamloops where he was employed by Weyerhaeuser Canada until retirement. Dad was a great provider to his family, kept all of us up to date in current events, was always extremely mechanically inclined and loved a challenge. There was nothing that could not be fixed.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the wonderful staff at R.I.H. 7 North and Dr. Doug Hamilton.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the St. John Vianney Parish, Father Wladyslaw Karciarz, Celebrant. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Gabe's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
