The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, of Elwood “Lefty” Frizzell, of Summerside, aged 87 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Williamsford, Ont., he was the son of the late Joseph and Lila (LeFlar) Frizzell. Survived by a daughter, Lois Frizzell, close family friend, Diane (JP) Gaudet, brother-in-law, Donald (Arllen) Janke, and by sister-in-law, Val Frizzell. Predeceased by his wife, Elvera “Vera” (Janke) Frizzell, and by two brothers and one sister. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. only. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. On Friday evening, members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home, at 5:45 p.m.
