Cecile Yvonne Cake, 73, MacLellans Brook formerly of Frederick Street, New Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Stellarton, Cecile was a daughter of the late Cecil and Velma (Megeney) Martin.
Cecile leaves behind her seven children, John Jr., New Glasgow; Yvonne Crawford (Jack), Westville; Fred (Donna MacInnis), Truro; Gary, Truro; Darlene, Truro; Betty Dean, MacLellan’s Brook; and Velma-Lee Cake-Ryan (Todd), Stellarton. Cecile was blessed with loving grandchildren; Allan Crawford; Paul Crawford; Angela Griffiths; John Cecil Cake; Amanda Cake; Kenny Cake; Travis Dean; Tyler Dean; Nick Dean; Shawna MacIntosh; Hannah Fougere, Shayla Garrick and Lauren Power and several great grand children . She is also survived by sisters April Sherman, Halifax; and Judy Sherman (Levi), Berwick; and a brother Cecil Martin, Berwick. She was predeceased by her husband John and a sister Betty Pitts. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held 2 o’clock Saturday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. William Cemetery.
