Florence Elizabeth Arnold, 71, of Stellarton, passed away quietly at her home on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 surrounded by her children.
Born in New Glasgow, Florence was a daughter of Sarah (MacPherson) and the late William A. Reid. Florence was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
She will be remembered for dedicating her life to her family.
She is survived by children: George (Myrna) Arnold, Houston, BC; Carol (Reg) Rector, Westville; Doug (Ester) Arnold, Houston, BC; Brenda MacBeth, Stellarton; Delbert (Janet) Arnold, Eastern Passage; Paul Arnold, Trenton; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sisters: Margaret Worthen; Dorothy (Mark) Wilson; Wilena Reid; brother, Bill (Jean) Reid.
Predeceased are her husband, George C. Arnold; granddaughter, Shauna MacBeth.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday in the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations in memory of Florence may be made to Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church or the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
