With great sadness we announce the death of Mabel Decker (nee Payne), who died at the age of 95 years on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009 at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children: Manuel (Bride) of Cow Head, Marie of Parsons Pond, Eura (Edgar) of Cow Head, Aubrey (Mae), Serina (Isaac), Henry (Rita), all of Parsons Pond, Annie (Joseph) of Cow Head, Marion (Gerald) of Parsons Pond, Anthony (Linda) of Norris Point, Patsy (Lyman) of Parsons Pond; her brother, Kenneth (Bertha) of Cow Head; her daughter-in-law, Evelina of Parsons Pond; her sister-in-law, Mary Payne of Cow Head; her 50 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 46 great-great-grandchildren. Mother was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Decker; son, Alex Decker; her grandchildren: Clara Brown and Calvin Decker; her great-great- granddaughter, Kylie Bennett; her brothers: Gerald, Alex and Stanley Payne; her sister, Annie Payne; her parents, Charles & Deborah Payne; her son-in-law, Ronald Parsons. Also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Parsons Pond, today, Friday, July 24th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where also the funeral service will take place on Sunday, July 26th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. John Olsson officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Parsons Pond. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
