1933-2011. Passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Palliative Care Unit of The L.A. Miller Center, Rosalind Stokes (nee Smith). Predeceased by parents T. Malcolm and Emma Smith, sister Miriam (Levi) Peddle, brother Clyde (Alice Smith Wiscombe), sister-in-law Doris Smith, brother-in-law Kenneth Goldsworthy. Leaving to mourn her husband Cyril; sons: Vaughan (Margaret), Neil (Loretta) and Mark (Kimberley); grandchildren: Sarah, Zachary, Michael and Hannah; sisters: Kathleen Goldsworthy of St. John’s, Reta (Abel) Parsons of Ontario; brothers: Cecil (Susan) Smith of Bay Roberts, Gerald (Mary Short) of St. John’s, Rex (May) of Ontario and Oliver of Ontario; sisters-in-law: Yeordis Stokes of St. John’s, Madeline (Francis Zabloudil) of Nebraska, Bernice Smith of St. John’s and Joan Smith of St. John's, also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her 1954A Nursing Class and the ladies of her bridge club. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and then on Friday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date.
