Rose Brassard late of Prince Albert, SK passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 74. Rose was born and raised in Meath Park, SK. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 from St. Michael Roman Catholic Church – 1505 – 13 Street West by Reverend Father Matthew Nguyen. Rose is survived by her loving family: her children Leo (Joyce), Frank (Karen) and Keith; her eleven grandchildren; her 7 great-grandchildren; her brother Jim (Ruth) Holodniuk; her three sisters Mary Smytaniuk, Eileen (Gibert) Desjarlais and Alice (John) Kosik and as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and a very dear friend Shirley Piche. She was predeceased by: her ex-husband Robert Brassard; her parents Mary and Bill Holodniuk; her three brothers Michael, David and Frank; her one sister Ann Schultz and her one brother-in-law Bill Smytaniuk. It is the family’s request that donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Metis Local 7. Interment will take place in the South Hill Cemetery.
