The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, July 23, 2009, of Robert “Bob” Reid of Gamble Avenue, Summerside, aged 83 years. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late William and Georgie (Carruthers) Reid. Survived by his wife, Norma (Humphrey) Reid, children, Donald “Don” (Debbie), Anne Reid, Kathryn Reid (Stanley Fisher), William “Bill” (Maria Carty), grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Derek, Sara and Emily Reid, Laura and Natalie Smith, and by sister, Wilma Evans. Predeceased by brothers, James “Jim”, George, William “Billy”, David and John “Johnny”Reid, and by sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Allen. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to the Bedeque United Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the Lower Bedeque Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Family flowers only by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Bedeque United Church would be appreciated. Brethren of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge # 15, will hold a Masonic Memorial Service, at the funeral home, Sunday at 9 p.m.
