The death of Madeline D. (nee Travis) Hazlett of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Hanwell Special Care Home on Thursday, March 24th, 2011. Born in Milltown, NB she was the daughter of the late Harley and Mildred (Mahar) Travis and wife of the late Clarence Hazlett.
Madeline was a member of the Celestial Temple #19 Pythian Sisters, the Christ Church Parish Church as well as the ACW at the church.
Madeline is survived by her sisters, Barbara Wadlin of St. George, NB and Zelda McPherson of Lepreau, NB; brother, Robert Travis of Newriver Beach, NB as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Clarence and her brother, Winford Travis.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street (458-9170) on Sunday, March 27th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday, March 28th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel with The Ven. John Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Presbyterian Kirk Cemetery, Pennfield Ridge, NB. Memorial tributes in Madeline’s honor may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
