W. David Baillie passed away at home unexpectedly March 22, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (McGuire); mother, Cecile; sisters, Brenda MacNeil (Wendell), Sandra MacNamara (Kenneth); sister-in-law, Franceen Romney (Philip); numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, William.
David was a long time employee of the Department of Natural Resources. He was an avid sailor, a professional guide, who reveled in the outdoors and a certified cabinet maker. David was actively involved in Cape Breton Search and Rescue, a member of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Atlantic Salmon Federation, Hobie Cat National Association and IBEW 1852.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
