Camille Gallant
REXTON, NB – It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Camille Gallant 71, of Galloway, NB at his residence on Friday, March 25th, 2011. Born in St. Ignace he was the son of the late Hubert and late Ozelie (Richard) Gallant. Camille worked as a nurse for 52 years. He had worked in Campbellton, Edmundston, Montreal, Moncton, Mont-Joli, Rimouski, Ste. Anne de Kent and Bathurst. After retiring, Camille was a volunteer with the Family Haché-Gallant Association and with the Federation of Acadian Families Associations. Camille will be sadly missed by his six sisters; Marie-Mai Babineau (Fernand) of St. Louis, Huberte Daigle (Gérald) of Moncton, Gilberte Melanson (Anselme) of Dieppe, Yvette Daigle (Léo) of St. Louis, Claira Vautour (Camille) of St. Louis, Rosalie Richard (Eugène) of St. Louis, seven brothers; Normand Gallant (Jan) of Dieppe, Régent Gallant of St. Ignace, Aldéric Gallant of Saint John, Aldoria Gallant (Dorothy) of Riverview, Arthur Gallant (Nancy) of California, Freddy Gallant (Bernice) of St. Ignace, Gerry Gallant (Jeannine) of St. Ignace. Camille was predeceased by three brothers; Léonide Gallant (Rose-Yvonne), Alphée Gallant (Edna) and Roger Gallant.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9, Tuesday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 at 4:00 pm, St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace. Donations to the Stella Maris Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
