BARRY, John Harvey — Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, on October 24, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer, aged 76 years. John was an outstanding member of his community serving as a board president of the Irish Loop CBDC for many years after a long and distinguished career as a marketing executive. Predeceased by his first wife Anne Meredith and son Scott. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife Janice, his son, John (Stephanie), his daughters, Jennifer (Richard) and Laurel (Adams) and grandchildren Aidan, Sarah, Carter, Meredith and Wyatt; also loving sister Rona and many other family members and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
