GERALD KAY CLOSSON
September 9, 1931 – July 9, 2009
Jerry passed away peacefully in his home in Viscount, SK at the age of 77 years. He was born in Kenaston, SK to Velma and Grant Closson and grew up at Clair, SK with six brothers and sisters: Shirley (Ed) Rusch, Alvin (Irene), Joyce (Bud) Eskelson, Dean (Atreta), Clifford (Viola) and Arlene (Bill) Bryce. He married Phyllis Scott in 1954 and leaves a legacy of nine children and their families: Kay (Grant) Irons (Dax, Andra, Daneel); Merl; Patrick; Kim (Karin) (Shay, Tegan); Cheryll (Hale) Ramsey (Collane, Elliece, Chonteal); Neil; David; Judy (Brian) Perreault (Kay, Branson); and Brenda (John) Mayoh (Zachary). He is predeceased by his parents; brother Clifford; and son Lesley. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00P.M. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Avenue North. His ashes will be lovingly set free by his family at a later time and a tree planted in his honour as a remembrance of him.
