New Glasgow - Margaret Florence Clark, age 91, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Victoria Ave. New Glasgow passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the Manor. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Sarah (MacGregor) Russell. She was a former Clerk at Whites Book Store and worked at the Hawker Siddley Gun Shop during WW11. She was a member of Trinity United Church and the Pictou County Adult Skaters. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clifford, a daughter Ellen (Scott) Kirwan, New Glasgow, granddaughter, Angela Kirwan (Roger Lucas) and great-grandchildren Alyssa and Baileigh, New Glasgow; sister Marion (Patrick) Kelly Sr., New Glasgow; brother James, New Glasgow and her faithful companion Whiskers. She was predeceased by a sister Edna Henderson; brothers George, Robert, Jack and William “Bee”, best friend Jessie Smith. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 pm Saturday in Trinity United Church with Rev. Dr. Jim Shaffner officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
