MAY, Merrill– Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Thursday, July 23, 2009, Mr. Merrill May, age 71 years of English Harbour West. Leaving to mourn his loving family, wife Ada; two daughters: Loretta (Greg West), Buchans and Peggy (Carol Hutchings), Goulds; three sons: Wally (Beverley), Goulds, Levi (Heather), Mount Pearl and Ernie (Muriel) at Boxey; nine grandchildren: Sherrill Phillips and Les Phillips, Brad, Vanessa, Jennifer, Leanne, Selena, Kyle and Keegan May; two brothers: Chesley (Melinda), Ernest John (Emily), all at Grand Bank; two sisters: Irene (Nathan Miles), Seal Cove, C.B.S. and Phyllis (Nick Howse) at Grand Bank; two brothers-in-law: Wally Hepditch (Irene), Trinton, Ont. and Richard May at Grand Bank plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sister Florence May. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 26 at 2 p.m. from St. Thomas Anglican Church in English Harbour West with Rev. Roy Simms officiating.
