At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, July 26, 2009, of Eldon William Dixon, Charlottetown, age 82 years. Beloved husband of Velma (nee MacNeill). Dear father of Kathy Jackson (Garfield), Roy (Deb), Heather Gates (Hal), Susan Welsh (Fabian) and Percy (Therese). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Greg and Evan Jackson, Melissa and Eldon Dixon, Kim MacPhail (Andrew) and Kristopher Gates, Matthew and Jennifer Welsh, Allee and Shelby Dixon and by his great-grandchildren, Josh and Chloe Jackson and Colby and Mairi MacPhail. Brother of Everett Dixon, Thelma Dixon, Myrtle Dixon, Gertie Collins (Darrell), Joan Dixon, Bill Dixon (Bertha) and Shirley Clow. Brother-in-law of Lillian Dixon, Lucy Dixon and Laura Dixon. Predeceased by his parents, Percy and Lilly (Graham) Dixon, by his brothers and sister, Archie, Edith Clow (Laurie), Grant and Claude and by his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Frank Clow, George Clow, George Dixon and Sadie Dixon. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9. Memorial donations may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
