Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness with Cancer in his home at Trepassey on Saturday March 26, 2011, age 65 years, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Predeceased by his Dad Albert 2009 and brother Donald 1986. Left to mourn and cherish his life are his wife Margaret of 40 years; four sons: Leroy (Bernadine) Elmsdale, Nova Scotia; Jeff (Lisa); Mark (Kyra), Brooks, Alberta; Steven (Meggan) St. John’s; six grandchildren whom he cherished and adored: Jeremy, Hannah, Cassandra, Adrianna, Landon and baby Davis; loving mother Philomena and brother Calvin; five sisters Marilyn (Freeman Burbridge), Burin; Joyce (Kevin Norman), Georgina (Joe Walsh), Daphne (Wilfred Sutton) all of Trepassey; Rosalind, Ferryland; also many nieces and nephews, cousins and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special Uncle Gus James (Lucella); long time friends Joe and Ann Pennell, Pat and Rose Boland, Doug and Eve Corcoran; four sisters-in-law and their families Kitty (Ed Corrigan), Mary (Derm Coombs), Jose (Camm Waddleton) and special sister-in-law and Caregiver Nellie Best. Flowers gratefully accepted and donations in his memory maybe made to the Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador or to a charity of one’s choice. Remains resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey. Visitation on Tuesday 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.-12:30. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Trepassey.
