Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2009, surrounded by her loving family Ruth Carol Hillier at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by her only daughter, Lynda (Frank Bernard); two grandchildren: Colin (Deanna) Hillier and Brenda Hunt; five great grandchildren: Crystal, Christopher, Brandon, James and Jennifer; sisters: Ruby (Stefan Hankovsky), Shirley (Kent Manuel) and Valda (Floyd Allen), Sandra Beaton (Ray); brothers: Fred (Mary) Noseworthy, David (Shirley) Noseworthy, and Donald Noseworthy; brother-in-law: Sidney Shears as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband: Frank , March 1993; sisters: Joan Alexander, October 1994, Rhoda Shears, March 1996 and Una Doody, December 2007. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m. from the First United Church, Park Street. Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating, interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daffodil Place .
