Francis Matthew Rose

It is with deep regret we announce the untimely passing of Francis M. Rose of Glace Bay.
Born Oct. 21, 1958, he was a son of Thomas and Minnie (Rogers) Rose.
Over the years, he was employed as a fisherman and was an active volunteer at the Food Bank. He will be sadly missed by the many acquaintances he made at Harvest House in Glace Bay.
He is survived by his children, Andrew, David and Kyle, all of Sydney; siblings, Mildred (Kelvin) Edwards, Henry (Laura), George (Shauna), Roland (Natalie), Ronald (Beatrice Anne), Wallace (Debbie), all of Neils Harbour, Theresa (William) King, Janet McKinnon, both of Glace Bay, and Nina (Gerard) Dixon, White Point; stepsister, Maisey Pasty, Newfoundland; many nieces, nephews, three great nieces and four great nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by halfbrothers, Roy Currie and Alvin Rose.
Visitation, will be only 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. His ashes will be forwarded to Neils Harbour for a farewell service in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Warren Heustis officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with his Mom and Dad.
