At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 of Mrs. Alice (Siddie) Jeffrey (nee McInnis) of Kensington Community Care Home and formerly of Borden-Carleton, aged 94 years. Wife of the late Frederick H. Jeffrey. Born on Jan. 17, 1917, Alice was a daughter of the late William McInnis and Sophia (Carruthers) McInnis. Mother of Connie (Gerald) (Red) MacNeil of Mississauga, Ont., and Allison (Sybil Dunsmoor), Summerside. Sister of Kathryn (late Leo) Noonan, Borden-Carleton. Also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by step-mother, Luce MacInnis and by sisters, Phyllis, Margaret, Rena, Anne, Louisa (Lou), Elizabeth Lu, Eliza Jane and by brothers, Charlie, Lealand, Harry and George. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Funeral Friday, April 1 at St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay with funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday, March 31, 7 to 9 p.m. only. Interment later in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Alice may be made to Prince County Hospital Foundation or St. Peter's Parish Cemetery Fund.
