Passed away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on March 19, 2011, Mr. Aquilla Hedderson of Straitsview, NL, in his 87th year. Mr. Hedderson leaves to mourn his children Joyce (Lloyd), Moriah (Eric), Glossen (Wanda), Belinda (Arthur), Phyllis, Sarah (Kevin), Virginnia (Derrick), and Olive (Frank), and his daughter-in-law Cordella; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a large extended family and many dear friends. He will be deeply missed. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony, followed by the funeral service at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, St. Anthony, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, with Rev. Ralph Moore and lay minister Arthur Kinsella officiating. Burial was held at the Quirpon Community Cemetery immodestly following the church service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
