Pearl Doris Jackson, age 90, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 in the Manor.
Born in Alma, she was a daughter of the late George and Martha (Lawrence) Bigney. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. H.B. Whitman.
She is survived by her son, Calvin (Greta) MacKenzie, New Glasgow; daughter, Ruth Cavanagh, Dartmouth; several grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband Smithy MacKenzie, second husband James “Jim” Jackson; son, Wilfred (Jackson) MacKenzie; sisters: Ethel, Muriel, Isabel and Esther; brothers: Martin “Luther”, Leemon, Calvin “Alec”, Edward and Wilfred “Murray”.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A public graveside committal service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, in Brookside Cemetery with Mr. Brian Bowden officiating. Condolences at: www.rhporter.ca
