Timothy Michael Macdonald, 24, of Braemar Drive, Westmount, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Norman and Lorraine (Bennett) Macdonald.
Tim was the beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to a wide circle of family and friends. For most of his life, he was not in good health, but was always happy, smiling, delightful, and thrilled to make many new friends. Although unable to talk, his life spoke volumes and he communicated his love openly to others. Though small in statue, he was a giant in spirit.
Besides his parents, Tim is survived by sisters, Robin (Gerrod) Glauner, Washington, DC, Cindy (Sean) Demeyere, Dominion, Lindsey (Phillip) Camus, Sydney and Holly Macdonald, at home; brother, Kris (Amanda Solly), Alberta; grandmother, Shirley Macdonald, Sydney; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Britany Macdonald, Bradley and Bridget Glauner, Abby, Sam, Emma and Jacob Demeyere, Noah Aalders, and William and Emily Camus.
Tim was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Neil and Mary Bennett, paternal grandfather, AJW ‘Sandy’ Macdonald and nephew, Gabriel Demeyere.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Tuesday, 11 a.m. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
