It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jaunita Childs announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by seven sons: Mark, Tom, Solomon, John James, Gerard, David, Clayton, eight daughters: Evangline, Angeline, Priscilla, Margretta, Isobel, Teri, Vilda, Juanita, one step-brother, Edward Duffney, one step-sister, Trudy Huart and a large circle of grandchildren, great grand-children, great great grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John William T. Childs on August 20, 1999. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, April 4th. at 10:00 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with interment in the St. James Anglican Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
