Isabel E. Hawboldt
June 30, 1932 – March 30, 2011
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Isabel E. Hawboldt (nee Munro).
Isabel was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and was raised in Piedmont, Pictou County. As a young woman she lived in New Glasgow while attending school and working at The Evening News and later working with the CNR. Isabel was married in 1959 and moved to BC in 1964 with her husband where they raised their three children. Isabel passed away March 30, 2011 at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, BC with her children at her side.
Predeceased by her husband Eldon, parents Donald and Jean (Baxter) Munro, she is survived by her daughters Debbie and Eileen; son Steven; grandson Josh; sister Pearl Robertson (New Glasgow) and her daughters Carol and Heather; and many nieces and nephews.
Isabel had a love of life, family and friends and an inner strength second to none. She will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 8, 2011 at 2 pm., at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel 11765 - 224th Street Maple Ridge, BC.
