The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, of Mrs. Roberta M. (Bertie) Mason of Charlottetown in her 76th year.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald Mason, who predeceased her on December 8, 2008, and devoted mother of Marjorie (Ron) Arsenault, John (Debbie) Burt, Ralph, Donnie (Martina) Burt, Wendy (Tom) Dickerson and James (Joy) Burt. Bertie will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Carol, Scott, Kristina, Melissa, Thomas (T.J.), Adam, Jessica, Jacob, Lisa and Teena; numerous great- grandchildren and brother, Ralph in Moncton. She will also be lovingly remembered by her stepchildren, Rhonda Diamond, Rebecca (Eddie) Sherwood, Amber (Maurice) Gagnon, Scott (Charlotte) Mason, Ronnie (Sherrie) Mason, MaryAnne (John) Richardson and Sharon Arsenault. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her parents, John and Myrtle (Larter) MacLeod; brothers, Fletcher, Jack, Jim; and her sister, Moira.
Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10 a.m. If so desired, memorials in Roberta’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Thursday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
