Travers
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, April 3, 2011, of Dorothy Travers, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances (Crockett) Bowness. Survived by her children Sandra (Ron) MacDonald, Central Bedeque; Janet Travers, Cascumpec; Jim (Lynn), Charlottetown; Norma (Doug) Lacey, Christina Lake, BC; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Byron (Shirley) Bowness, Allison (Joan) Bowness, Doreen (Lowell) Huestis, Linda (Allan) Leard, Evelyn Ramsay and Marie Devlin. Predeceased by her husband J. Clayton Travers; brothers George, Herb and Keith Bowness; and by a sister Lois Pridham. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Summerside, where funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in Christ Church Cemetery, Kildare Capes. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, St. Mary’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
