Michel Poirier, 59, of Sackville, formerly of Lewisville, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Sackville Hospital surrounded by his family. Born February 14, 1952 in Moncton, he was the son of Rita Arsenault and the late Omer Poirier. Michel will be remembered for his love of family, especially young children, as well as for his talent and appreciation of music.Besides his mother, he will be sadly missed by his brother, Marcel; five sisters: Josette, Cecile (David Wheaton), Gloria (Philippe Gareau), Marie-Claire, Denise (Charles Gauvin); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews as well as Vicky and Randy, Michel’s caregivers and his friends at the Fairfield Special Care Home.
No visiting hours. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Louis-de-France R.C. Church, 5 Pleasant Street (Lewisville) on Tuesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. A contribution, in memory of Michel, to The Schizophrenic Society of New Brunswick (Moncton Chapter) would be appreciated.
