In his 90th year, Grant Thornton Todd of Saint John widower of the late Joan (Seymour) Todd passed away April 3rd, 2011 at Kennebec Manor surrounded by his loving family. Born June of 1920 to the late Charles Andrew and Ellen (Standen) Todd. Grant was a Bus Driver for SMT for several years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local #1229. Grant is survived by his children Katie Todd (Reg), Patti LeRoy (Rick) both of Saint John, Linda Hubbard (Doug) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Gary Todd (Marilyn) of Kingston, ON, Ken Klempner (Flora) of Tottenham, ON and Barb Jones (Jeff) of London, ON; granddaughters Ashley, Jocelyn, Kassandra, Jennifer, Shelley, Tabatha, Kailey and Angela; grandsons Scott, Kyle and Corey; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Grant was predeceased by his grandson Kelly Todd; brother Norm Todd and a sister Theara Holliday.
By request there will be no visitation. A Graveside service will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens 715 Latimore Lake Road on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in his memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
