Mr. Russell Marks of Fredericton formerly of Sussex Corner and Portage Vale passed away at the Veteran’s Health Unit on April 2, 2011 at the age of 97. He was the son of the late Alvin and Nettie (Graves) Marks. Russell is survived by his wife Treva, two daughters: Judy Dunnett (Edgar) of Bathurst, Diane Fletcher (David) of Lower Sackville, NS; his son: Clifford Marks (Barbara) of Fredericton; his brother, Myles of Hungary; his sister-in-law Edith Marks of Sussex, eight grandchildren: 19 great grandchildren: as well as several nieces and nephews. Russell was predeceased by three brothers: Allison and Stanley, two sisters: Pearl Hodgin and Elma Hall and by his great grandson Benjamin Logan.
The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Tuesday evening at 5:45pm. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Russell’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 1:00pm. The interment will take place at Pioneer Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
