Passed peacefully away at Health Sciences Centre on Friday, April 1, 2011, Elsie Gerbeau, aged 83 years. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. She asked not to be mourned, but to be remembered with fondness and a glass be raised in a toast to a long, full life. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will take place Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 10-12 noon and 2-4 pm. Funeral service to be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 4:30 pm with cremation to follow. Interment will occur at a later date in Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL. No flowers by request. Donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army Temple, Corner Brook, NL. A reception to celebrate Elsie’s life will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6-7 pm at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Residence, 135 MacDonald Drive.
