At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charlottetown on Monday, July 27, 2009, of Erskine Cyril Murphy of the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, and formally of Northport P.E.I., age 80 years. Born in Alberton on Feb. 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (nee Kinch) Murphy. Dear father to Debbie Murphy of Alliston Ont., Gary Murphy and Douglas Murphy both of Brampton Ont. He is also survived by two brothers, Stephen (Edie) of Alberton and Bernie (Dorothy) of Peterbrough Ont. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Ralph, Harve, Shirley, Olive, Pauline, Eileen, Mary, Harriet and Yvonne. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday evening 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Thursday from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
