Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park, April 3, 2011, Norman Seymour Stokes, aged 85 years. Predeceased by parents, Ellen and Nelson Stokes; wife, Olive (Humber) Stokes; sisters: Ester Stokes and Mary Matthews; brothers Kenneth, Hubert and Leslie; in-laws: Blanche Stokes, John Matthews and Charlie Parsons; and special friend, Bernice Cook. Leaving to mourn his children: Norma Eaton (Bill) and Robert (Nancy Head); loving grandchildren: Jessica (Brodie) and Andrew Bartlett, Jane and Ben (Harriet) Stokes, Emily (Nick), Sarah, Jeremy and William (Shumin) Eaton and Joshua (Natalie) Bartlett. Also left to mourn brother, Lorenzo Stokes (Bernice); sisters: Ann Parsons and Geraldine Sprague (Bill); sisters-in-law: Olive Stokes and Eleanor Stokes; caretaker and special friend, Debbie Clark; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, Tuesday April 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
