Margaret Elizabeth Patriquin
Patriquin, Margaret Elizabeth – 88, Truro, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 in her home at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in East Wallace, she was a daughter of the late William and Winnifred (Jenks) Smith. Margaret taught school in Cumberland County. She was a member of St. David’s United Church and a life member of St. David’s UCW. She was also an honorary life member of the Truro Branch of N.S. Division of the Canadian Bible Society; past president of Bible Hill Home and School Association. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by sons, Charles (Linda), Onslow Mtn., Barry (Lorraine), Truro, Lee (Susan), Tatamagouche, Lynn (Charlotte), Truro; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, LeRoy Patriquin; brothers, Chesley, Lawson, Percy and Gordon; sister, Muriel Allen. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev. Dan Gunn officiating with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial in Eagle Hill Cemetery, Westchester at a later date. Donations may be made to the Parkinson Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or V.O.N.
