The death occurred at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, April 1, 2011, of Ella (Edwards) Wood Willis R.N. of Charlottetown, in her 101st year. Wife of the late Wendell Wood and the late H.B. Willis. Dear mother of Wilma (Ian) MacLean and Janet (the late Gordon) McMurtry. Nanny to Sue MacLean (Jim Parfitt), Judy MacLean, Tom MacLean (Alex Shum), Sean (Jennifer) McMurtry and Ann (Richard) Dicey. Great-Nanny to Malcolm, Sadie and Benjamin Parfitt; Ryan, Emma and Meghan Tidd; Charlotte and Olivia McMurtry; Tracy Oakford and William Dicey. Step-mother of Barrie (Paula) Willis and Karen (Colin) Duerden. Survived by sister-in-law Georgie Edwards. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Chester Edwards, sister Mary (Verner) Coles, brother John Edwards and grandchildren Ellen and Andrew MacLean. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from Trinity United Church at 11 a.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only, however if so desired memorials to Trinity United Church or The C.N.I.B. would be appreciated. Visiting hours 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
