Johnson, Larry Maurice-66, Newton Mills, passed away, at his home on July 27, 2009. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Munroe and Viola (Brown) Johnson. Larry was a carpenter,working with his father for many years until going into business for himself. He was an honorary member of the Upper Stewiacke Volunteer Fire Brigade. Surviving are daughter Lorelei (Lorne) Smith, Hilden; son Craig (Roxanne), Ottawa; grandsons Justin Smith, Truro; Nathan Smith, Hilden; sisters Joyce (Bernie) Crockett, Hilden; Sylvia White, North River; Debbie (Michael) Arseneau, Hilden; brothers Geroge (Joan), Carmangay, Alberta; Steve, Upper Stewiacke; Eric (Mary), Middle Stewiacke. He was predeceased by sister Vivian, and brother-in-law Lloyd White. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held on Friday, at 11 am in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke, Rev. Marilyn MacDonald officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Upper Stewiacke Volunteer Fire Department or charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
