t is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and granddaughter, Shauna Hill on July 28, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of James and the late Leslie (Taylor) Hughes.
Shauna was a loving, and caring mother to her two precious daughters, Elizabeth and Emily, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was the happiest being with her darling daughters.
Besides her parents, James and Karen (Moore) Hughes, Shauna is survived by her husband, Ben Hill; two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily; siblings, Steven (Melissa), Nathaniel, Leah, Dylan, Derek and Adam; mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Valerie Hill; sister–in-law, Candace; brother-in-law, Matthew (Nicole). She is also survived by grandparents, Laura and Keith Taylor; grandmother, Patricia Hughes and great-grandmother, Roxie Schofield, as well as her special aunt, Leola (Ashford) Crawford, aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
Besides her mother, Leslie Hughes, she was predeceased by great-grandfather, Edward Schofield.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 31 at the S.W. Chant Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Kevin Mattatall officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date.
