With deep sadness, the family of Gerald William Murray of Cape Traverse, P.E.I. announce his sudden passing at the Prince County Hospital on July 28, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Myrna (Green) Murray, and his children, Maureen of Bermuda, Rodney (Carla), Kara, Shallyn, Colin and Cassie, Brian (Charlene), Kelsey and William of Calgary, Kent (Jane), Matthew, Emily, Rachel of Summerside, Kyle (Jennifer), Rebecca, Ryan and Garrett of Augustine Cove, Leanne (Wayne) MacWilliams, Jordan, Zachary and Gemma of Vegriville, Alta., and Andrew and his son Tanner of Calgary, brothers and sisters, Jack (Edie) of Edmonton, Alta., Betty Richard of Kleinberg, Ont., Ruth (Emmett) Adam of Kingston, Ont. and twin sister, Elaine (Frank) Murphy of Brampton, Ont., his sisters-in-law, Helen Murray of Borden-Carleton, and Iris Murray of Bowmanville, Ont. Brother-in-law of Gerald and Brenda Green, Barry and Beth Green all of Central Bedeque, Elaine and Bill Noonan of Charlottetown, Eric and Juanita Green of Edmonton, Alta., as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Sally Jean, his parents, James and Marie Murray and his brothers, Mervin, Arnold, Louis, Thomas and Justin. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, Aug. 1, then to St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in the church Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
