Jeanette Tuinman age 76 of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away June 25, 2009 in Abbotsford.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of Jean Milton of Amherst and the late Arnold Hanright.
She received her nursing degree at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax and worked with the Victorian Order Of Nurses in Amherst for a short time.
Jeanette later moved to Ontario and then to California where she continued nursing until retirement.
She is survived by three daughters Jennifer (Kurt) Giesaking of Denver, Colorado, Kimberley (tom) Thomas of Northern California and Sandra Hatch of Abbottsford, B.C., one son Mark Tuinman of Orange County, California, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Besides her mother Jean, she is also survived by one brother Roger (Beverley) Hanright of Palm Bay, Florida, one sister Carolyn (Raymond) Ripley of Amherst and two nieces and three nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Tuinman.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Amherst Cemetery followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. Rev. Susan Estabrooks will officiate.
Donations in Jeanette's memory may be made to the MS Society or the VON.
