Gordon Raymond Ryan, 35, of MacDonald St., New Glasgow formerly of White Hill passed away July 27, 2009 at his home.
Born in New Glasgow he is a son of Martin and Kathryn (Gadd) Ryan.
Gordon was a graduate of West Pictou High School and went on to study at STFX. He was an employee of Convergys in New Glasgow.
He is survived by his parents, Martin and Kathryn Ryan, White Hill; sister, Jill, White Hill; brothers, Tyler & Jake, White Hill; paternal grandparents, John and Marguerite Ryan, Bible Hill; aunts and uncles Phyllis (Bruce) Holton, White Hill; Rita (Amby) Heighton, Stellarton; Jim (Shawn) Ryan, Pictou; Larry (Karen) Ryan, Stellarton; Gerard (Gisele) Ryan, Antigonish; Edwin (Cathy), Antigonish; Brenda (Stephanie) Ryan, Bible Hill; Adele (Rick) Kinley, Dartmouth; and a number of cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jared Matthew Ryan; maternal grandparents, Mel and Hazel Gadd and cousin Allyson Kinley.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Middle River at a later date.
Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Diabetes Association.
