Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on April 3, 2011, age 77. Predeceased by dear husband, Gordon (Hibbs), and brothers: Robert (Marguerite), Ronald and William. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories loving husband Lar (Patrick) Walsh; son Gordon Hibbs (Colleen); daughter Carolyn Roberts (Paul); step-son Ken Walsh (Marjorie); step-daughter Debbie Morris (Paul); and grandchildren: Makenzie, Madelynn, Delaney, Aaron, Carolyn, Andrea and Jeremy; brother Austen Carter (Sybil); sisters: Marion Conroy and Louise Brazil; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s from 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6th and 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 7th. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8th at 11 a.m. from St. David’s Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation, St. David’s Church, or to a charity of one’s choice.
