It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph McDonald of St. West Modeste, NL. announce his passing at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on April 4, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are a large number of nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Susannah McDonald as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Hellen McDonald, brother Henry and sister Margaret McDonald Pike. Visitors were received at the Our Lady of Labrador Church in West St. Modeste on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral took place on Thursday, April 7, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Hann officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery in Pinware. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre=s Funeral Home, L’Anse au Loup.
