The death of Myrtle B. Roy, of Minto, NB, and formerly of Ottawa, ON occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Thursday, April 07, 2011. Myrtle was born at Midlands, Queens County on April 5, 1943, the daughter of Marie (Darrah) and the late Percy Kilfillen. She is survived by her mother Marie, her daughters Pamela Fraser (Jamie Hackett) of Ottawa and Kristal Roy of Fredericton; her son Kim (Heather) Fraser and her grandchildren Keenan and Kayla, of Hardwood Ridge. She is also survived by one uncle, Reginald (Maudie) Kilfillen and aunts, Merle Kilfillen, and Aldena Darrah; two nephews, two nieces, many cousins – special cousin, Blake Darrah, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) on Friday, April 8th, from 6 to 8pm. A memorial service for the late Myrtle Roy will be held at St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, Newcastle Bridge, NB on Saturday, April 9th at 2:00pm.
