The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, April 7, 2011, of Mr. James J. Connolly of Charlottetown, age 78 years.
Beloved husband of Marie (nee Redmond) Connolly, and loving father of Shelly (David) Wilkie and Lisa (Myles) Harrick. Proud poppy to Kyle, Ryan and Tyler Wilkie and Tanner Harrick. Brother to Michael (Doreen), Mildred Johnson, Charles (Jeanette), Eileen (Tom) Egger, Bernice (Ted) Ofiara and Patricia (John) Dunphy. Brother-in-law to Henry Redmond, Lorraine (Kevin) Costello and Gail MacDonald. He will be remembered by all his special buddies he sat with at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Predeceased by his parents James and Helena (Ostridge) Connolly, sisters Mary MacKenzie and Theresa MacKinnon.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Monday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
